Compact design, wide field of view, and fast performance, the Tokina atx-m 23mm f/1.4 for Sony E is a 35mm-equivalent wide-angle prime for E-mount mirrorless cameras. The versatile focal length suits a wide range of subject types and shooting applications, ranging from street and reportage shooting to landscapes and environmental portraiture. The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture further benefits working in various conditions, by offering improved control over depth of field and suiting working in low-light settings. Two Super Low Dispersion (SD) elements are featured in the optical design, which help to control color fringing and chromatic aberrations while a multi-layer coating has also been applied to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast in bright and backlit conditions. This sleek lens also incorporates an STM stepping motor, which affords fast, near-silent, and accurate autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override.
